TCM Acupuncture for Cycle Regulation & Hormone Balance
Gentle, individualized acupuncture informed by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Care focuses on cycle regularity, comfort during the period, and overall hormone balance — always tailored to your goals and stage of life.
Common reasons people book
New patients require an initial consultation prior to beginning acupuncture treatment. Please tell us if you may be pregnant, are on anticoagulants, or have an implanted device.
Our Process
1) Assessment
Cycle history, symptoms across the month, medications/supplements, and goals. We review red flags and coordinate testing where appropriate.
2) Treatment
Point selection based on TCM patterns and anatomy. Gentle needling; electroacupuncture or moxibustion may be used when indicated. Comfort-first approach.
3) Follow-through
Typical plans start at 1–2×/week for 4–8 weeks, then taper to weekly/every-other-week, and finally to maintenance as cycles stabilize.
For Women in Perimenopause or Menopause
For women experiencing perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms who do not wish to proceed with bioidentical hormone therapy, acupuncture can be a supportive option. Treatment focuses on regulating temperature changes, sleep, mood, and circulation while addressing whole-body balance through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
For Women Who Are Still Menstruating
Acupuncture can help regulate the menstrual cycle, reduce discomfort, and balance hormone-related concerns in women who are still menstruating. Sessions are tailored based on your individual pattern and symptoms, whether cycles are short, long, painful, or irregular.
How TCM frames cycle care
Circulation & warmth
TCM aims to improve pelvic circulation and ease muscle tension, which many people find helpful for cramps and bloating.
Pattern-based care
Rather than a single protocol, points are chosen for your pattern (e.g., stress-related, cold-sensitive, fluid retention).
Whole-system support
Sleep, digestion, and stress responses can influence cycles. We include simple lifestyle guidance as needed.
