WHy suffer when you don't have to?

Menopause is a pivotal moment in a woman's life.  Hormones like estrogen and progesterone decline and leads to a rapid rate of aging as well as many unpleasant symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, depression, mood swings, fatigue, thinning hair, loss of breast fullness, dry skin, low libido, painful intercourse and weight gain to name a few.

Menopause is diagnosed after the 12 months have passed without a menstrual cycle. Menopause typically occurs in your late 40's or 50's.

Perimenopause occurs when periods are missed for months at a time but not longer than 12 months.  Periods can be skipped for months at a time and then return.

Other reasons for a decline in hormones can be caused by a full hysterectomy where the ovaries that produce the hormones are removed.  Chemotherapy and radiation can also cause a decrease in progesterone and estrogen. Around 1% of women experience premature menopause (which occurs before the age of 40).

Post-menopausal females are at risk for health conditions like osteoporosis, osteopenia, cardiovascular disease, urinary incontinence and vaginal dryness. These risk factors and symptoms can be treated in a holistic manner by combining naturopathic medicine and bio-identical hormones.

Bio-identicals hormones are described in the videos below.
