Hair Mineral Analysis is used to determine the levels of metals in the body.  This is a reflection of the past 3 months of metals in the body.  Hair samples are taken from the hair that must be a few inches in length.

Saliva is used to test hormone levels because this is a better indicator of the true state of the hormone level versus the blood.  The blood is collected at one specific time and is not necessarily a true indicator of the average hormone levels present in the body.  Saliva Hormone Testing requires the patient to collect the saliva over a period of days to average out the hormone levels.
